Description Of Marketing Internship Program: 

Our primary goal is to ensure that as an organization we function adequately and effectively in the area of managing our finances.

 

The qualified intern will work closely with a small finance team and will have the opportunity to develp their bookkeeping, accounting and data entry skills.

 

Daily work activity in PR and Media involves 

  • Accounting and Finance overview  

  • Bookkeeping

  • Data Entry

 

Program Eligibility Criteria:  

  • Qualified candidates between age 15 and 30 inclusive

  • Candidates requiring credits towards program completion

  • Canadian citizen or permanent residen

  • Candidates requiring on the job experience

  • Passionate about title program.

 

Candidate Qualifications:  

  • Post-secondary or college institution candidate involved in public speaking, journalism, editorial, online media related to internet navigation

  • Strong proficiency in English

  • Interpersonal and Communication skill

  • Self-starter

  • Takes initiatives

  • Flexible

  • Dependable

  • Computer savvy

  • Passionate about the program

 

Knowledge & Skills The Intern May Aquire:   

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill to use accounting operating software to determine accrual and cash accounting

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill in maintaining financial records i.e., noting expenses or revenue

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill in how to maintain individual or company paid – out in the correct amount.

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge to utilize bookkeeping and data entry techniques

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill to assist in supporting financial documentation such as program budgets, budget breakdowns and other financial spreadsheets

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill to assist with payroll and tax deduction administration

  • Candidate may acquire the knowledge and skill to create post budget summaries and reports including budget and finance variances
