P.H.A.S.E. 1’s First Class of “Elite 1’s” to enter the P.H.A.S.E. 1 Hall of Fame are the Co-Founders and Alumni of P.H.A.S.E.1 and its predecessor organizations (Next Level Basketball 1997, Prep Stars Canada with Chris Van Zyl 1997-1999 and Toronto Elite Development, Grassroots Canada 1999-2002, P.H.A.S.E. 1 Basketball 2002-Present).

 

P.H.A.S.E. 1’s many programs; Risings Stars Showcase, All Canada Prospect Camp, All Canada Classic-Rumble in The T-Dot, Step Teams, Workshops, Prep Academies, Semi Pro Teams - Lady Elite 1's, Semi Pro League - Elite 1's League, AAU Teams - T.E.D., Grassroots, P.H.A.S.E. 1, Training Programs and Training Center, Camps - Rising Stars Camps, Development Camps,  and programs and events done in partnership with other catalyst organizations, the Ball Hawks (John Clara), Great Canadian Shootout, Toronto Mission (Kerrrigh Ernst) and The Metro Hoops Showcase (Roy Rana). The alumni of these organizations and  are leaders of today’s top training programs, leagues and organizations; Shane James-CYBL Founder, Videl Messiah-Northern Kings, Kevin Massiah-Rise Unlimited, Jesse Tippings-Athlete Institute, Mike George-CIA Bounce

 

The alumni represent 100’s of million of dollars in basketball scholarships and professional contracts.

 

The alumni are Professional, NCAA, CIS and OCA Coaches - Charles Kissi Raptors905, Jamie McNeilly-U. Virginia, Chris Kraus-Stonehill College, Patrick Tatham-McMaster U., Leeana Oseie, St Francis Xavier, Tyrell Vernon),

We honor our First Class of "Elite 1’s" into our P.H.A.S.E. 1 Hall of Fame with a special place in Canadian Basketball History and our mission is to keep the ripple of effects of their legacy alive by continuing the many programs and events have impacted thousands on their “Journey of An Elite 1.”

2020 CLASS OF INDUCTIONS

 The Process For Selecting New Members

A committee of professional and experienced members of the basketball community to create a Hall of Fame to service P.H.A.S.E. 1’s thousands of alumni and honored Canadian legends who have inspired others with their athletic ability, coaching skills, and/or sports management skills and have raised the level of importance of basketball.

  • The 2020 P.H.A.S.E. 1 Hall of Fame Committee will include current hall of fame members, retired athletes, coaches, community leaders and media members.

  • To assure that older players, whose active careers have been completed prior to the 25 years of P.H.A.S.E. 1's history in the Canadian Basketball Community, as well as those individuals who contributed to the game in ways other than playing and coaching will be considered along with the Modern-Era players and coaches, a Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame Tribunal Committee will be established.

  • All registered P.H.A.S.E. 1 Alumni Members may submit names of retired alumni. Then a list of names with nominees profiles will be sent for alumni voting.

  • All members of the Canadian Basketball community may nominate an individual, team or organization, connected to the basketball community by registering as a P.H.A.S.E. 1 affiliate member.

  • In advance of the Hall of Fame selection, the committee members  are provided detailed bios on each of the finalists.

  • In order to be elected a finalist must receive a minimum of 80% of the committee votes
