Summer of 2016 P.H.A.S.E. 1 will be working along side the staff of Arizona Autistic Charter Schools to develop a unique summer camp focused on fitness and nutrition for children with autism
P.H.A.S.E. 1's staff of fitness trainers was first given the opportunity in Spring of 2016 to work with Arizona Autistic Charter Schools to continue coordinating their after school program. P.H.A.S.E. 1's staff was challenged with bringing an element of fitness to the schools population of high and low functioning children with autism. At P.H.A.S.E. 1 Athletics we are constantly evolving our proprietary P.H.A.S.E. 1 Training System-Physical Literacy Curriculum to provide more effective ways of delivering fitness and nutrition to all, therefore this was a tremendous opportunity.
The success with AZACS After School Programled to the even greater responsibility of developing a full eight week summer camp inclusive of fitness and nutrition. Our P.H.A.S.E. 1 staff has diligently worked alongside AZACS professional staff of teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists and behavior specialist to deliver the best strategies for movement, fitness and nutrition development for the children.
The AZACS Summer Camp developed by P.H.A.S.E. 1 is introducing fundamental athletic movements to improve coordination, balance and overall strength. The children are taught sport specific skills from track & field, football, t-ball, volleyball and soccer. They are then introduced to modified versions of each sport to improve social skills through cooperative play.
Our P.H.A.S.E. 1 Athletics staff continues to grow in our experience modifying our physical literacy curriculum to
assist niche groups of children. With our own growth we hope to transform their lives for the better through improved fitness, quality of movement and nutritional habits.
